Because if everyone read the following “stay-young” plan we’re about to reveal, they would lose millions of pounds.

Luckily for them (and for us I guess!) most people will continue to buy their fancy, expensive creams, because most people don’t know there are cheap, natural alternatives that are just as powerful and effective at beating ageing.

In fact, not only will a few simple changes to your weekly food shop prevent new wrinkles forming – they can even minimise the wrinkles you already have!

(Note: we don’t say “get rid of”. That’s impossible, and any product that claims it can eradicate wrinkles needs to be thrown in the bin or thrown at the smiling sales assistant).

So, if you want to wipe 10 years off your looks, add these Anti Aging Ingredients to your shopping list and start to eat yourself young:

 

    • Chicken and eggs. Who cares what came first…? Both of these foods are packed with essential skin-repairing protein. And so is Anti aging Foods - Chicken and Eggs - gardenpork,beef and fish. And boy does your skin need repairing! I’m not saying that to be offensive – EVERYONE’S skin is under constant attack from pollution, too much sun, and bad food.   • Eat your (dark) greens! Spinach, rocket and broccoli all contain strong levels of EFAs, carotenoids and other antioxidants that prevent inflammation. So for once listen to the health nags, and eat your greens twice a day.

 

  • Spanish olive oil is rich in polyphenols, another antioxidant (and you really can’t get enough of them) that soothers inflammation. It also contains something called oleic acid, which helps EFAs in other foods get into your cells more easily. Take two tablespoons daily (either straight or drizzled over those dark greens!)

 

  • Check the G-index. The Glycemic Index measures the effect food has on blood- sugar levels on a scale of 1-100. If a food causes your blood-sugar levels to surge, your skin will be come inflamed. So cutting down on high GI foods will cut down on the cause of skin damage. Of course, all the goodies are high GI foods – sweets, cake, pasta and crisps etc. – but if you want to look young and beautiful you need to cut down on them. Instead snack on fruit and vegetables.

 

  • How a visit to Wimbledon UK will keep you young looking. Just a handful of strawberries every day are enough to help protect your skin. Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are just as good. They all contain anthocyanins – a substance that blocks enzymes keen on attacking collagen.

 

  • Two powerful vitamins – vitamins C and E are powerful weapons in the war against ageing, so flush your body wit them by taking 1000mg of vitamin C during the day (split the dose up) and 400IU of vitamin E (taken with meals).   • Mineral water. You know what a plum looks like and a prune looks like, right? Well what would you rather your skin looked like? Dried fruit simply has all the water-removed form the fresh fruit, so the equation is easy to make – drink lots of water! Water rehydrates the skin cells and dilutes inflammatory chemicals lurking in your body. Avoid tap water and drink eight glasses of mineral water each day.

 

The Bottom Line:   You don’t need to fork out £50 for some useless cream in a fancy bottle – the most powerful way to fight wrinkles is through your stomach. Incorporate this eating plan into your diet, and your skin will look healthier and younger within the month!

One of the hardest tasks involved with breaking up is telling your children about your separation of divorce. Knowing what and what not to say can make this task a little easier. • Clarify what has happened – confirm that your partnership has ended. Fact: not knowing what’s happening can cause greater distress for some children than the facts of the matter. Wise: give specific reasons for the separation or divorce; as appropriate to the children’s ages. Example: “you’ll remember that Mummy and Daddy were always arguing.We were unhappy living together”.

And: make it clear that your children were not responsible for the separation, nor can they bring you back together. Because: some children feel that they’re responsible for everything that goes on around them. And they may thing they’ve caused the break-up and could feel guilty about it. Similar: they may believe they have the power to reunite you.

So: making it clear that this is a final decision that’s not been made because of them can help to prevent unnecessary heartache. Also: be ready to explain your reasons again, as and when necessary. Note: many children need to hear the reasons several times in order to come to terms with the separation. Important: be consistent with your comments every time.

Reassure your children – do stress that you both still love them. How: ideally, both parents will be involved in this talk. Or: if you’re talking on your own, confirm that you and your partner will continue to love them, and be their parents. Vital: avoid blaming your partner for the break-up.

Sad: these (often instinctive) comments force children to take sides, and prolong unhappiness and bitterness. Unfortunate: this may suit a grieving partner, but doesn’t help their children to accept the situation.

Best: a co-operative relationship between parents most helps their children to move on. Preferable: both parents will remain actively involved with childcare arrangements on an ongoing basis. Research: usually, most children are happier if both parents retain some form of regular contact with them. Why: this helps to provide the reassurance that they’re still loved.

Motto: actions speak louder than words. Always: talk about what each parent will do, when, and how often. Talk through the practicalities. Again: your comments may need to be repeated regularly to reassure your children.

• Look to the future – confirm what’s going to happen now. Ideal: many children will be happier if their lives remain as settled and as consistent as possible.

So: if you can, talk about those areas that will remain unchanged. Examples: they’ll have the same home, school, friends, daily routine, etc. Tip: never assume that they’ll somehow realise these areas will stay the same.

Guideline: if you don’t tell them, they won’t know! And: if there are going to be significant changes, do talk these through with them too.

Remember: the uncertainty of not knowing can be more stressful for children that knowing what will happen next. Helpful: explain that you understand they may not be happy, but that you will do your best to make these changes as smooth as possible for them.

Advisable: encourage your children to share their feelings with you. Typical: anger, nervousness, sadness etc. Because: only by recognising these feelings can you discuss and help with the effects of divorce on children allowing them to come to terms with the situation.

Hint: identify and talk through some of the possible positive outcomes of these changes. Examples: moving to a new area will enable them to see more of Granny and Granddad, to make new friends, to go swimming more often etc.

Blocking oestrogen to help protect against cancer
Red clover contains plant chemicals called Isoflavones. These include Geneistein, Daidzein, Formononetin and Biochanin. Isoflavones are what are known as Phytooestrogens (plant derived substances that resemble human oestrogen in their make-up but which are weaker).

Isoflavones act as weak oestrogens, which mean they can bind to oestrogen receptors in the body. This blocks some of the detrimental effects of naturally – occurring oestrogen, which is far stronger and linked to cancer cell growth. In particular they have been found to lower the risk of breast, prostate and colon cancer.

It can revert breast and prostate cancer cells back to their pre-cancerous states and delay the growth of new blood vessels within tumours. This helps prevent them from spreading.

Red clover works quickly to kill cancerous prostate cells
In terms of prostate cancer, Australian researchers have found that a supplement derived from red clover, called Trinovin, helps prevent prostate cells from advancing to cancerous stages.

This news is promising, as the disease is responsible for the deaths of over 10000 men each year in Britain. Although prostate cancer can strike at any age, it is most prevalent in men over the age of 50.

The study was carried out by researchers at Monash University in Victoria, Australia and involved 20 prostate cancer patients who received Trinovin and 18 patients who made up the control group and received no treatment. The former were given 160mg of Trinovin for between one to eight weeks, before undergoing prostate surgery.

Before and after treatment, researchers measured the patients’ serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels – excess levels can indicate prostate cancer; Gleason score (grade of cancer); serum testosterone; incidence of cancer cell death, and excreted isoflavone levels.

The researchers found that among those patients taking Trinovin, cancerous cells were killed off up to five times more frequently than was the case for the control group.

Trinovin was found to be particularly effective in fighting early-stage cancerous cells.

Eat a diet rich in Isoflavones
Numerous studies have suggested an important link between a diet rich in Isoflavones and the maintenance of good health, particularly in terms of good prostate health.

For example, the incidence of prostate cancer is far lower in Asian countries (where the typical diet is high in Isoflavone-rich foods like red clover, lentils, chickpeas and a range of beans) than it is in the West. Men is Asia consume approximately 20-50mg of Isoflavone-rich foods each day, which is a great deal more than the typical British diet that only provides around 1-2mg.

Studies have also revealed that red clover Isoflavones can help combat benign Prostatic hyperplasia – enlargement of the prostate gland. One three-month study clearly showed the clear health benefits of red clover in reducing prostate size, obstruction to the urinary passage and improved urinary flow by 10%.

Patients also reported improvements in their overall quality of life and no side effects were experienced.

Recent research findings have found that red clover Isoflavones’ weak oestrogen – like action can also helping the treatment of menopause symptoms. In January 2004 the North American Menopause Society recommended the use of red clover Isoflavones to help alleviate night sweats and hot flushes in menopausal women.

In Japan, where the dietary Isoflavone content is very high, menopause symptoms like hot flushes are rarely reported. Red clover has also been found to improve cardiovascular function in menopausal women.

For those who are trying to cope with irritable bowel syndrome, a new study from China shows that two of the painful symptoms associated with the condition might be relieved with a daily supplement.

 

A sleep hormone that works on your gut

 Melatonin is a hormone that helps regulate the body’s sleep/wake circadian rhythm that ideally remains consistent from night to night. In addition, melatonin also pays a role in the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Researchers in the Department of Medicine at the National University of Singapore conducted a study to determine if a melatonin supplement might improve bowel problems as well as sleep disturbances in patients with IBS.

Results revealed two positive outcomes: Subjects in the melatonin group experienced a significant reduction in abdominal pain compared to the placebo group. They also showed improvement in their rectal pain threshold.

No significant difference was reported from either group in bloating, stool type or stool frequency. Psychological questions on the pre- and post-test questionnaires also revealed no important changes in anxiety or depression.

 

Bloating may be the key to IBS

Dr Henry C. Lin, is a gastrointestinal specialist and an associate professor of medicine at theUniversity of Southern California in the US. Over the years, Dr. Lin noticed that almost all of his IBS patients experienced post-meal bloating. This prompted him to focus his research on gas caused by gut bacteria that ferments good in the intestinal tract. Some bacteria perform useful functions in the large intestine, but Dr. Lin suspected the bacteria might be migrating to the small intestine, triggering gas and bloating.

After a breath-test study indicated that a large majority of IBS patients have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), an antibiotic trial helped confirm the results. In that trial, IBS patients received either an antibiotic or a placebo. About 75% of the subjects who successfully eliminated SIBO with antibiotics reported a significant improvement in IBS symptoms.

 

Melatonin + antibiotics + probiotics

In the US DrAllan Spreen has written about the necessity of probiotic organisms, which can be destroyed by antibiotics. In a healthy individual, these beneficial bacteria inhabit the digestive tract in massive numbers, crowding out harmful bacteria and supporting proper digestion. When the activity level of good bacteria drops too low, it opens the door or harmful bacteria to proliferate, allowing the opportunity for diseases such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome to develop.

He says: “I absolutely would be giving probiotics for such a problem along with any agents that might assist strengthening the intestinal wall, such as FOS (fructo-oligo0succharides), which helps the “good” bugs to re-establish, aloe juice, which has a long history of calming bowel problems, essential fatty acids, and digestive enzymes (which are usually under produced in such situations)”.

For most people, sufficient amounts of intestinal flora can be maintained through dietary sources such as culture products (yoghurt and kefir, a fermented milk drink) and lignans (flaxseed, carrots, spinach, cauliflower and broccoli). But while the digestive tract can be “re-colonised” by introducing enough good bacteria to overpower the bad bacteria, dietary sources alone can’t provide organisms in the vast numbers required to correct a serous imbalance. For this, a high-potency probiotic nutritional supplement maybe necessary.

I interrupted: “Pay-Per-What?! Email? Banner thingamyjigs?”

He looked VERY confused. Then, he gave me that look – the look which kind of says “You’re being a dummy again” … and said…

“Vicky … you watched that DVD though, right? And that DVD tells you those things are what you have to do to make money online… you can not argue with it… it’s really how it’s done by all the experts; they build a website and sent traffic to it by       emails, or pay-per-click advertising or search engine optimisation!

Now he’d really lost me. I’d had another “blonde moment”, not understood the DVD properly and gone and done the wrong  thing by mistake. I mean thinking about it, I could see where I’d gone wrong – I’d just taken everything too literally. I was like a monkey with a machine gun!

Then one day, I got an email saying there was some money I was owed with instructions on how to claim it. It was over two grand! At first I thought it must be one of those internet scams you hear so much about, so I proceeded with caution…but sure enough, the money was real… and ALL MINE!

So how did I accidentally “hot wire” the Internet like this?

Now imagine trying to scale those walls with no equipment and never having done anything like it before. THAT is what most people (like my husband) are trying to do!!

So what did I do? Well, now imagine me face to face with that challenge. By mistake, I got “lost” and wandered around the back of the fortress and found a “hidden” door, which lead straight in! A solid gold door, which opened up a gateway to riches…

All you have to do is resell these books and claim your commission! You don’t need to write anything, touch the product or meet anyone face to face. It all happens online.

Here are some great tips to reduce household chores and we’ve culled them from researching the nether regions of the Internet. All designed to make your life easier and happier.

  • If you get chewing gum on your clothes leave it where it is and put the garment in the freezer for an hour. The gum will be frozen and easily removed. If you have no freezer simply brush egg white on to it with a toothbrush, leave it for 15 minutes then wash as normal.
  • If you get blood on your shirt after shaving (or fighting, we’re not here to judge!) use your own saliva to rub it of. There is a chemical in your saliva that will eliminate your bloodstains but no one else’s. If there is a little more than your saliva can deal with simply soak it over night and wash out in the morning.
  • Get the perfect hard-boiled egg every time by adding a pinch of salt before putting the egg in the water. This stops the shell from breaking.
  • Check your egg is fresh by putting it into tap water. If it rises to the surface it is not fresh and should be thrown away. N.B: the water must be salted.
  • A good way to use left over red wine is to freeze it into ice cubes and use it in cooking.
  • After a romantic evening, if you find there’s candle wax on the carpet, scrape away most of it with a knife, then put some brown paper over the wax and then put a hot iron on the paper. It will then stick to the paper not the carpet.

If there is grease left on the carpet simply put some baking soda on the spot and vacuum next morning.

  • Clean your coffee grinder as well as sharpen its blades by grinding about a cup full of rice in it.
  • Remove fungus from your walls or fridge with bleach.
  • Freshen your microwave by putting some squeezed lemon juice in a bowl of water and cooking for 30 seconds.
  • Remove crayon marks from the wall by spraying with everyday lubricating oil. Sometimes colours will remain (often red) in this case wipe with a cloth of bleach.
  • If you get permanent marker on your carpet use a cloth soaked in alcohol. Do NOT rub it but just blot the stain making sure you use a fresh piece of cloth with each blot.
  • Ink stains can be easily removed from clothing by rubbing alcohol on it.
  • Tipex can be cleaned from cotton or wool by immersing the stain in a bowl of nail polish remover. Soak it and rub the cloth. Repeat this a few times with fresh nail polish remover until after soaking the remover remains clear.
  • If you are washing any wool clothing, why not use your old bits of hand soap, which are perfect for wool. Put the old bits of soap in a jar of warm water so that it softens. Shake this mixture and pour it into a wool wash. You’ll be surprised and delighted with the result.

Don’t worry if you don’t like doing routine admin work – because Amazon does virtually all of it for you. When you sell a book, Amazon collects the money from the buyer. So you don’t need to bother about cheques or accepting credit cards. Then, they pay it over to you.

As a merchant seller, Amazon take a completion fee of over $1 per sale plus a commission fee of 17.25% from the selling price of each book. In my opinion it’s a tiny amount. And well worth it when you consider that you do not have to market your books yourself, pay for expensive advertising, pay for a website, deal with customers, or do a lot of office work. How Working 1 Hour LESS reduces Work Stress and Make Your Boss Love You

How To Reduce Work Stress & Still Impress

(and 4 other magic triggers that will make work stress disappear)

Let’s face it, work is one of the most dominant, demanding things in our lives. We spend most of our waking hours at work or getting to work. We often take work home with us (even if it’s mulling a problem over in our heads), and often we can let it all works stress get on top of us.

The in-tray never seems to go down, the emails never get answered, and deadlines are pushed back and back till they fall off a cliff, and you feel like jumping with them. But take the time to keep your head above water for a minute and take a deep breath – because there are five magic ways to create more space and time in your work life to get things done and ease the pressure of work stress.

  • Trigger 1: Work one hour LESS each day.

If you’ve been in a job for more than six months, chances are you’ll have subconsciously fallen into a bad routine that seems easier at first, but created problems later. You’ll just perform tasks and get things done on “automatic” without thinking about what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and how you could make it so much easier for yourself.

So, free up 30-60 minutes a day to go through the things that are clogging up your work life (and your home life). Work out what’s running smoothly and what’s taking far longer than it should, assess where it’s all falling down, and write down what needs to happen to make it better. Do this for a month. You’ll be amazed how much more you’ll get done, how much fresher and better your work will be without the work stress.

 

  • Trigger 2: Set yourself a timetable

This may sound like you’re just adding MORE work to your day, but setting out timelines for specific projects will help get everything in perspective and show you exactly what you have to do.

This is especially helpful when you have so much work, you don’t know where to start. In fact, you don’t know where to start. In fact, it’s such a burden you mentally get to the point where you think, “Why bother? I’ll never get through all this”, and as a result the work just keeps on building up (together with that clammy pressure on the back of your neck as your boss’s eyes bore into you.)

So, begin by writing down a list of everything that needs doing (and check with people that there’s nothing they’ve forgotten to tell you about).

Split the jobs into stages and treat each stage as a separate task. For example, if you wanted to put a shelf up, you’d split that down into buy brackets and shelf, prepare wall, drill holes, fix to wall. Once you have your definitive list, split the tasks into small (30 mins or less) and big (anything above that – don’t bother splitting the list into loads of different groups).

Then, jot down the three most important tasks that you can realistically complete in that day – and one additional smaller task.

Tackle the smaller task first. Get it done and cross it off the list. It’s pathetic, but it really does make you feel in charge of the work, not vice versa. Then get to work on the first of the important tasks.

 

  • Trigger 3: Get “out of the loop”

Reduce Work Stress - paretoTake a look at your desk and your inbox. How many useless reports, memos, emails and samples are cluttering up the place? Take a quick look through it, and see what you’ve looked at. If they were important, people would be screaming at you for a response, but the truth is 80% of the stuff that ends up on your desk is a waste of your time. The trouble is, you’ll either waste time by reading it, or feel under pressure to do something about it.

Simple tell the distributor to take your name off the list, and drop your colleagues a not saying you don’t really need this newsletter or that report.

 

  • Trigger 4: Cut down on work – based socialising

Business launches are all well and good – some of them are essential – but if you find yourself constantly attending launches, dinners or parties, you’ll never have time to switch off and think about other things in your life.

Launch time should ideally be a leisurely hour on your own, reading a book, taking a stroll or enjoying an unhurried lunch. You need to let your mind unplug from work and cool down a little. If you have a business lunch with colleagues, then attend a function hosted by a client, you are in effect working a 14-hour day without even realising it. And if you do this regularly, it will take its toll.

So only accept invitations that are truly necessary, and claw back a few hours a week for yourself.

  • Trigger 5: Stop thinking you’re the big “I am”

If you’re good (and you know you are!) you’ll probably be asked to be part of brainstorming groups, or be part of a social committee, or head up some company association… which is all great for your ego. But before you start accepting every invitation, think about the all time big question “What’s in it for me?”. Sure, it’ll make you feel good that you’ve been asked to organise something, but if it happens too often consider how much of your time and energy you’re throwing into these extra – curriculum tasks – and pick and choose.

The Bottom Line:   Using these magic triggers could totally transform how you approach your work, and how much calmer everything seems to be with the work stress being a thing of the past.
